If modern lookout towers are boring because of their similarity, you should head to an unusual one on the Šibenice hill. At first glance you might not even guess that it is a lookout tower because it looks like a part of an extensive line of fortifications. And that’s what it was originally supposed to be. It was here that a huge fort was supposed to be built but they did not manage to build it before World War II. In the area around the twelve-metre lookout tower you will find an interesting military-style playground and eye-catching information panels about the fortress, the fortification line or the personality of Jan Kubiš. If the meteorological conditions are great you can see as far as Praděd and Beskydy mountains.
