Pond system near Dolní Benešov

How best to find out whether fish are biting in Benešov? Fish in one of the local ponds! The Benešov Pond System covers approximately 161 hectares and includes both owned and leased ponds. The base of the production is the Nezmar pond with an area of 65 hectares and the pond system in the form of cascaded graded reservoirs. The tradition of fish breeding in this area dates back to the mid-13th century and the main breeds are carp and tench. It is therefore not surprising that in the pre-Christmas period Benešov fishery supplies fish to a large part of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
