The Opava House of Arts is not an ordinary building, it is building with an extraordinary story about the rescue of a unique former Dominican monastery for which a demolition bill had even been issued. However, thanks to the relaxed atmosphere of the late 1960s, it was saved and restored. The current appearance of the House of Arts with the adjacent Church of St. Wenceslas, however, dates back no further than 2010-2011 when this historical building of the former monastery was significantly renovated. These unique spaces offer various exhibitions or concerts with a unique atmosphere all year round. Every year throughout September one of the oldest Czech cultural festivals - Bezručova Opava - takes place here.
