The fate of the KUPE water tower is a light of hope for all cultural monuments that have become obsolete over time. As a result of technical progress, this tower, which has been used to replenish water supplies for steam locomotives since the end of the 19th century, has ceased to be utilized and the fate of gradual deterioration hung over it. After more than forty years, the monument was saved by a thorough reconstruction, thanks to which it was opened to the public in 2019. It features a multifunctional hall suitable for concerts, discussions and lectures. You can also watch the latest movies twice a week. The program is very varied so you will certainly be able to choose. The space of the tower and the terrace is suitably complemented by a permanent exhibition of works by Kurt Gebauer.
